About ALOECTA Unit

Algonquin Lakeshore Unit of the Ontario English Catholic Teachers' Association covers 16,000 square kilometers, from Kingston in the east to Trenton in the west, from Picton in the south to Whitney in the north and represents about 950 Regular and Occasional Teachers who teach in 33 Elementary and 5 Secondary (also 5 adult Learning Centers) which are publicly funded Catholic schools in Eastern Ontario. We are a member of the provincial OECTA and through this provincial body we are affiliated with the Ontario Teachers' Federation, the Canadian Teachers' Federation and Education International. We strive to protect the rights of our Teachers and ensure that their working conditions are fair.
